As a member of a small team based at Headspace Sale office, the Youth AOD Outreach Worker provides crisis intervention, assessment, case management services and ongoing support to minimise the harm of drug use to vulnerable young people residing in Wellington.
The purpose of the position is to reduce the harms associated with problematic substance use in the community which seeks to engage young people 12-21 in public settings, complete assessments and provide AOD information, brief interventions and health promotion.
To provide a lead in YSAS’ Youth Suicide Prevention Program at the Dandenong Youth Hub and Frankston Headspace site funded by the South East Melbourne Primary Health Network (SEMPHN).
The Embedded Youth Outreach Project (EYOP) is a program which pairs a police officer with a youth worker to provide an after-hours secondary response to young people coming into contact with police.
