About the position

The Clinical Team Leader will provide a pivotal leadership role in clinical oversight and governance within a multidisciplinary and multi-sectorial community of young services hub at Frankston supported by the headspace Clinical, Practice and Centre Managers.  The Clinical Team Leader will model best practice principles in the delivery and oversight of the headspace Frankston programs aligned to the headspace Model Integrity Framework and other evidence based clinical guidelines. 

As a key contributor to the development of evidence based and innovative clinical services, you will promote the delivery of a youth health service that is of the highest quality, promote family inclusive practice principles, oversee and enhance client pathways and systems, provide clinical support and guidance to staff and contractors.  The role requires specific and thorough knowledge of clinical and early intervention mental health approaches, as well as a comprehensive understanding of the local service system and will work collaboratively and consultatively with peer clinical and other team leaders at Frankston & Rosebud site.

 

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  1. 5 years demonstrated clinical practice experience in the delivery of evidence based therapeutic approaches to young people and their families with primary mental health and other psycho-social issues.
  2. Demonstrated skills in problem solving and negotiation skills especially with young people, families and service providers in the early stages of help seeking.
  3. Demonstrated evidence of highly developed interpersonal, and organisation skills in provision of supervision, emotionally attuned leadership and ability to address underperformance, of a multi-disciplinary clinical care team
  4. Demonstrated experience in leading workplace culture and change management.
  5. Demonstrated networking and communication skills inclusive of high level partnership experience with tertiary or community based youth mental health services and other primary health care providers
  6. Demonstrated ability to build capacity of your team, and ability to mentor and support their development
