  • Fixed term until June 2024
  • Part time (45.6 hours per fortnight)
  • Remuneration SCHCADS level 7 dependent on qualifications and experience + 10.5 % Employer superannuation
  • AASW & AHPRA membership and registration required

 

About the position

The Clinical Educator takes primary responsibility for oversight of the social work clinical placement and early career (graduate) program whilst working collaboratively with Clinical Team Leaders and the headspace leadership group. This role will include providing secondary consultation and delivering education and support more broadly across the service within a multidisciplinary team environment.

The Clinical Educator will work to ensure best-practice competency-based learning, supervision and evaluation are provided to three Social Work graduates annually and at least five student clinical placements over a two-year period. The Clinical Educator is required to work competently within their scope of practice and participate in the planning, development, coordination, implementation, delivery and evaluation of education and clinical supervision at headspace Frankston and Rosebud.

The role links directly into clinical program development and case load monitoring for care planning, clinical review and oversight within the headspace Quality and Risk Management framework. The Clinical Educator will support oversight of the Brief Interventions Clinic (BIC).

 

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  1. Develop and implement a discipline based placement program for students and early career graduates within a youth early intervention service.
  2. Support the development of individual professional learning plans for each student and graduate aligned to professional standards evolving scope of practice.
  3. Facilitate individual & group clinical supervision and reflective practice.
  4. Manage new and existing partnerships with relevant university placement programs.
  5. Lead evaluation and ongoing monitoring of the program, services, and systems, including client outcomes.
  6. Model and guide evidence-based interventions and practice aligned to the headspace model.
