Youth Participation Practice Leader

  • Fixed term until October 2025
  • Part time (45.6 hours per fortnight)
  • Remuneration SCHCADS level dependent on qualifications and experience + 11 % Employer superannuation

 

About the position

The Youth Participation Practice Lead co-creates and embeds YSAS approach to youth partnership and leadership into practice. The purpose of the role is to:

  • Lead and expand the team/s of YSAS volunteer Youth Advisors and committees across YSAS, ensuring they are culturally inclusive and representative of young people accessing YSAS services
  • Co-create and implement a program of knowledge building to strengthen staff understanding of Youth Participation at YSAS leading to establishment of systematic, culturally inclusive program based participation opportunities
  • Co-ordinate YSAS program of organisational participation opportunities and support young people to get involved in / influence YSAS decision making that impacts them and other young people
  • Work with the Youth Participation Team to embed, monitor and evaluate culturally inclusive youth participation in YSAS practice, governance and leadership

 

Some of your key responsibilities will be:
