Manager, Youth Drug and Alcohol Advice (YoDAA)

  • Full time (76 hours per fortnight)
  • Remuneration SCHCADS level 7 dependent on qualifications and experience  + 11 % Employer superannuation
  • AASW membership and AHPRA registration desirable however applicants with a relevant Human Services degree that does not require AHPRA or AASW will also be considered

 

About the position

Reporting to the Deputy CEO, the Manager is responsible and accountable for the operational performance, financial, quality and risk management of the YoDAA program, including the creation of an operational environment that emulates and facilitates achievement of YSAS vision.

Harnessing and analysing performance data, the YoDAA Manager has a critical role in the development of business intelligence and identification of emerging trends that enable the delivery of high quality, evidence-based services and informed decision making within the organisation.

The YoDAA Manager leads a team consisting of AOD Advisors and is accountable to inspire a shared vision, model a values-based approach and create a culture in which effective ways of working are encouraged and enabled.  

The Manager is responsible for the delivery of a Monday to Friday, 9am – 6pm service environment. This includes overseeing quality and safety processes, staffing, rostering, risk assessment and mitigation, and ongoing program development.

 

Some of your key responsibilities will be:

  1. Lead the delivery of the YSAS YoDAA service, Victoria’s Youth Drug and Alcohol Information, Advice and Referral Service.
  2. Provide supervision and direction to a team of established practitioners focused on the delivery of quality service navigation and advice.
  3. Contribute to the development of services across YSAS through participation in the YSAS Operational Leadership Group.
  4. Liaise with key stakeholders including managers and practitioners across YSAS and the broader Youth AOD sector.
  5. Provide verbal and written reports on matters relevant to the delivery of the YoDAA Service.
  6. Maintain knowledge of the legal and policy framework that YoDAA operates within.
