About the position
The Clinical Team Leader role is a pivotal role in YSAS Operations. Team Leaders lead teams of practitioners, usually between 5-8 staff members. Team Leaders provide their teams with regular supervision, assist in risk assessment and mitigation planning to ensure staff and client safety. Team Leaders also carry a responsibility for ensuring quality and continuous improvement in the work and accurate of data recording by their staff. Team Leaders at times are required to lead across a number of programs.
This role is primarily based at headspace Rosebud satellite and will ensure that the care delivered to young people is of the highest possible standard and that young people and their families/carers receive timely, responsive and appropriate services to meet their presenting and emerging needs.
This role will oversee and conduct assessments, provide evidence based mental health interventions and psychosocial interventions, case management, coordination of multidisciplinary care, develop service linkages, and provide co-delivery of groups and services with other clinicians. The Clinical Team Leader will contribute to clinical governance, escalation and support at the centre alongside the parent centre clinical lead. The role will be required to work within the community and parent centre as delegated. Some out of hours work may be required.
Some of your key responsibilities will be:
- Ensure that all staff provide a high quality of service delivery through clear direction of YSAS program objectives and mentorship.
- Be familiar with the service specifications for your program areas and in conjunction with your manager annually determine goals and objectives for these programs.
- Ensure staff work in a family inclusive manner, and provide developmentally appropriate and responsive service for vulnerable young people aged 12 to 25 years.
- Maintain professional relationships with tertiary mental health services and other relevant service providers to support seamless service delivery.
- Management and leadership of all YSAS programs in your remit ensuring high quality service provision and program fidelity
- Foster a cooperative team environment, which values collaboration to ensure a focus on efficient systems and client needs
