The Position:

  • Based in Cairns, Queensland (occasional travel may be required)
  • Permanent, Full Time/Part-time Negotiable (Between 60.8 – 76 hours per fortnight)
  • Remuneration SCHADS level 6 dependent on qualifications and experience
  • 11.5 % Employer Superannuation Contribution
  • Generous salary packaging

 

The Senior Aboriginal Health Worker (SAHW) position is an Identified position as there is a genuine occupational requirement for the position be filled by an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, as permitted by and arguable under Section 25, 104 and 105 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act (1991).

The SAHW plays an integral role in the development and delivery of the Rehab unit model of care. SAHW provide high quality Primary health services and case management of young people, and their families referred for an admission.
