About the position 

 The primary focus of this position is to provide reception duties for Fitzroy Withdrawal Unit, Residential Intake Team & General Manager Residential Services & Primary Health, administration duties which support routine day to day client and site communications, safety, maintenance and operations. The Administration Support Officer is the first point of contact for Residential Intake Team & Fitzroy Withdrawal unit as delegated, with the role providing frontline information and support to young people and their families/carers seeking information, resources and help. The role facilitates and at times initiates our site’s responsiveness in regards to initial contact, screening, warm referral and clinical escalation processes for young people within scope of practice. Overall, the role undertakes a wide range of administrative tasks including front of house triage telephone enquiries, client presentations at reception, assessment bookings, monitoring and supporting clients in attending appointments and other general administrative tasks to the leadership team and staff.

Key Selection Criteria  

 

1. Administration qualifications and/or experience in a similar administration role.

2. Demonstrated experience in providing administrative support to a multi- disciplinary team including the requirement to maintain privacy and confidentiality.

3. Excellent computer skills with proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, alongside the ability to quickly acquire knowledge about additional computer programs.

4. Ability to contribute to process improvement

5. Ability to maintain a professional attitude in all communication with stakeholders i.e. phone, email and face to face.

6. Excellent interpersonal skills, and written and verbal communication skills.
