  • 5 Weeks Annual Leave

About the Position

The Manager of Community Programs, Ringwood and Frankston oversees the provision of a range of Youth AOD programs and services to young people across the Inner and Outer Eastern Regions of Melbourne, operating from the YSAS Youth Hub in Ringwood in addition to multiple out posting arrangements. The Manager works closely with other leaders to ensure services are in line with best practice and the YSAS model of care, including monitoring contract deliverables and developing services that are responsive to community need. The Manager is responsible for maintaining strong working relationships with key agencies and community groups across the region as well as ensuring YSAS is well represented in relevant networks, committees and working groups.

 

Key Selection Criteria

  1. Possess relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology, Family Therapy, or Alcohol and Other Drugs or have extensive equivalent experience
  2. Comprehensive understanding of casework frameworks, supervisions and case allocation management and team leadership
  3. Able to manage complexity in the work place & lead a positive and constructive team culture
  4. Experience in design, development, and evaluation/review of service delivery that is responsive to the lives of young people at risk
  5. Highly developed relationship & networking skills to ensure referral pathways and linkages allow for the best possible outcomes for young people. This may include working collaboratively with stakeholders or confidently advocating for best practice, particularly with program funders such as DFFH and EMPHN
  6. Highly developed understanding of multiculturalism, CALD and refugee issues for young people, families and communities throughout the Southern Metropolitan Region of Melbourne.
  7. Outstanding communication & interpersonal skills, including problem solving, written and verbal communication skills
  8. Demonstrated ability to manage program requirements inclusive of target tracking, and updating of policies and protocols
