- Remuneration SCHCADS level 5 dependent on qualifications and experience + superannuation

About the position
YSAS is the lead agency to a consortium of partners who deliver the Crime Prevention Program (Pivot) in the LGA’s of Frankston, Casey and Dandenong. The program works with a targeted cohort of young people and their families, identified by statutory bodies, addressing risk/protective factors through tailored support; delivered by a Youth and Family Worker.
The Youth Crime Prevention Program (Pivot) is expected to achieve a reduction in offending behaviour and recidivism among project participants by:
- Decreasing known crime-related risk factors and increasing protective factors;
- Achieving sustained improvement in engagement in school, training and/or employment;
- Increasing connectedness with the community.
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrated experience in case management and outreach support to young people and their families, engaged in the criminal justice system.
- Experience working collaboratively across multiple service systems.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the cultural complexities working with Multi-faith and Multi-cultural communities including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, Maori, Pacific Islands and African
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of the Risk, Needs and Responsivity (RNR) model.
- Strong understanding of adolescent development and criminogenic risk.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as highly developed interpersonal, coaching, and consultative skills.
