About the position
The Junior ICT Officer provides friendly, responsive and reliable ICT support, helping YSAS staff use technology effectively to deliver services to young people and families. As part of the ICT team, the role provides first-line technical support, assists with user access, equipment management and technology projects, and contributes to a positive staff experience. It offers an opportunity to build technical skills through hands-on experience, collaboration and continuous learning.
Key Selection Criteria
- Demonstrates a positive, proactive attitude, strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively while demonstrating behaviours that reflect YSAS values.
- Approachable, patient and committed to providing responsive, professional support to staff.
- Practical knowledge of Windows devices, Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams and SharePoint), user accounts, MFA, basic networking and common ICT hardware
- Ability to troubleshoot common ICT issues, follow procedures and escalate appropriately when required.
- Able to prioritise requests, follow through on tasks and accurately maintain service desk tickets, documentation and asset records.
- Communicates clearly, welcomes feedback and demonstrates a genuine willingness to learn and develop technical skills, with an understanding of cybersecurity, privacy and confidentiality.
