  • Remuneration SCHCADS level 7 dependent on qualifications & experience + superannuation

About the position

The Clinical Educator will strengthen the capability of emerging clinical leaders to supervise, support and embed headspace Good Care principles with access clinicians and other early career workers.

Key Selection Criteria  

Qualifications and clinical expertise: Relevant tertiary qualification in a clinical or allied health discipline, & recent experience in youth mental health, early intervention or a multidisciplinary community health setting, & sound knowledge of clinical reasoning, risk management and safe, ethical practice.

Clinical education and learning design: Demonstrated experience assessing learning needs and designing, facilitating & evaluating evidence-informed, workplace-based learning for multidisciplinary clinicians, senior practitioners &emerging clinical leaders.

Supervision, coaching and capability development: Demonstrated ability to facilitate clinical supervision, reflective practice, coaching or communities of practice; observe workplace practice; assess clinical and leadership capability; and provide constructive, developmentally appropriate feedback.

Framework implementation and practice change: Demonstrated ability to translate clinical practice frameworks and guidance into accessible learning resources, supervision tools and consistent local practice expectations, and to support clinicians to embed safe, ethical, youth-centred and evidence-informed care.

Communication, collaboration and inclusive practice: Strong facilitation, communication and relationship-building skills, with the credibility to engage multidisciplinary teams, senior practitioners, clinical leaders, young people, families and partner organisations, and a demonstrated commitment to culturally safe, trauma-informed, family-inclusive and developmentally appropriate practice.

Evaluation, continuous improvement and delivery: Demonstrated ability to establish learning outcomes, monitor participation and capability development, interpret qualitative and quantitative feedback, maintain clear documentation and use evidence to improve initiatives, while independently prioritising and delivering agreed outcomes within a part-time, fixed-term project role.
