The purpose of the Residential Youth AOD Worker is to work as part of a multidisciplinary team assisting vulnerable young people in need of support 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The role will provide youth-friendly, evidence-based nutrition support to young people aged 12–25 years as part of a multidisciplinary team at headspace Frankston.
Funded through SEMPHN’s GP Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) program, this role supports quality use of medicines, shared decision-making, and inclusive, trauma-informed care.
Help ensure that young people’s voices are integral to organisational decision-making, governance and leadership, and local program change, with an ultimate goal of co-creating with or being led by young people to create meaningful and active opportunities for youth participation and shared decision-making.
The purpose of the position is to reduce the harms associated with problematic substance use in the community which seeks to engage young people 12-21 in public settings, complete assessments and provide AOD information, brief interventions and health promotion.
